[RecFIN News] Length records in 1980-1989

The length records from the measured fish in the 1980-1989 data (historical) have been updated. Fish prior to wave 2, 1993 were measured in total length while current lengths are taken in fork length. The historical data have been converted to fork lengths using available regressions. Checks were also performed to compare lengths and weights and outliers were flagged. The original measured total lengths are retained in the t_len field in the type 3 records.

The length frequency program was modified to use the new lengths rather then attempt to calculate the desired length (fork or total) during query processing. This change will speed processing and also allow the removal of length-weight outliers from future analysis.
